When it comes to Italian restaurants in Colorado, you may be looking for "romantic" or "fancy." There's one Italian restaurant in the Centennial State that's about food and fun.

Though there are many Buca di Beppo restaurants across the nation, Colorado only has one, and it seems like the place to be when you are ready to celebrate.

I know that I, myself, had never hear of Buca di Beppo, but I saw someone on Facebook talking about the great time they had there, celebrating a birthday. I thoughy, "why have I never heard of them?"

When I think of Buca di Beppo, I think of loud, boisterous gatherings. I don't think there have been many marriage proposals made there; but then, I guess that depends on the couple.

The restaurant was started by a non-Italian in 1993, as a place that serves Italian-American fare, in an intentionally "bad taste" manner. For example, they have five different rooms, a few of which seem close to "over the top" rude:

• The Wine Room - Lots of bottles of wines, and vines of grapes.
• The Poster Room - Lots of classic posters; i.e. Sinatra, Rome, etc.
• The Kitchen Room - Watch your meals being made.
• The Cardinal Room - Complete with vestments hanging.
• The Pope Room - You'll find a spinning head of the Pope in this room.
