A fun part of summer in Colorado is checking out at least one rubber duck race; they bring back that feel of Mayberry and raise money for great causes. They're fun for the whole family, as you wager among yourselves, for who'll be top duck.

There are still four fun-filled races coming to Colorado that you should try and be a part of; several in some of the most picturesque places in the state as well. You could plan a little weekend which would include buying/adopting a little rubber duck for some fun.

I wonder how many ducks in total will be in Colorado waterways during the summer of 2024.

It's hard to believe that rubber duck races or duck derbies only date back to maybe 1980; it seems like they've been around much longer than that, to me. Either way, they do make for a fun part of summer: a shot a great prize while helping out a good cause.
