Let's hear it for the ladies.

The Loveland Museum will display Vote: A Centennial Celebration, an exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, at the Foote Gallery starting on February 8.

The amendment, which was ratified on August 18, 1920, gave women the right to vote.

The exhibition is presented by 2020 Women & the Vote, a community group that is showcasing events about women's suffrage throughout this year.

"The inspiration for this project was a close friend of mine, Margaret, who was 95 years old, a life-long feminist and an educator," said Robin Lowe, artist and member of the 2020 Women and the Vote Steering Committee.

Committee members asked for artists around the country to submit works related to women's suffrage. Jane DeDecker, a Loveland sculptor, will be featured.

The exhibit, which lasts until April 5, is free and open to the public.
