Who's Playing at the Larimer County Fair this year?

Colorado has over 50 fairs every year; from smaller ones like the Weld County Fair to to the huge Colorado State Fair. The Larimer County Fair ranks somewhere in between, but is full of great events, including free concerts.

When is the Larimer County Fair in 2026

When folks from Northern Colorado come to the Larimer County Fair, running July 31 through August 4, 2026, they're going to find a few changes at the fairgrounds. Larimer County has been working hard on "Phase Two" of upgrading elements of the Larimer Fairgrounds, and the Larimer County Fair will be our first "real" look.

Free Concerts Just Part of the Fun at the Larimer County Fair

The Larimer County Fair has many event/activities happening throughout its five official days: The PRCA rodeos, Carnival America (this year the carnival will be east of the Great Lawn to protect the new grass,) the pancake breakfast, all the food, vendors, and more. "More" would include the free entertainment on the Main Stage.

In the past, the Larimer County Fair has made the effort to bring larger acts to town to perform, Back in the day (when the fairgrounds were still Downtown,) you might have seen acts like Doug Stone, Tracy Byrd and Toby Keith, himself. It was fun seeing little Loveland bring those old grandstands to life.

One year, more recently, the Fair planned on having Night Ranger perform. A friend of mine and one of his sons were on the grounds that night, "ready to rock." The weather had other plans, however, and they had to cancel the concert.

Maybe that's why the Fair has gone to sticking with local bands; also, by not paying "bigger" bands, you can have more concerts. Win-win.
