A small building where once folks in Loveland might stop in for financial advice, folks will now be stopping in for marijuana advice as of early August 2026, with the opening of one of Colorado's latest dispensaries.

Where Will Loveland See the Return of Retail Marijuana Sales?

Over the decades the building at 1505 North Lincoln, in what is technically Downtown Loveland, has been home to many, many businesses. Most recently, it was the offices for a Country Financial agent. The Reporter-Herald reported that Natural Alternatives will be moving in and opening by August 2, 2026.

I've been following the story on whom would be the first to open a dispensary, once the citizens of Loveland voted to bring dispensaries back. In May, I wrote the story on how a dispensary based out of Fort Colllins, Solace Meds, might go in next to Big Thompson Brewing.

That did not happen, as Natural Alternatives' ownership team includes someone who once owned a dispensary in Loveland, so they fell into the 'Legacy" category, those of which will be given priority over newcomers. to Loveland.

Many in Loveland have seen ads on the back of receipts about Rocky Mountain Kind coming back to town. This would be that connection.

Now that it's been established where Natural Alternatives will be located, there cannot be another dispensary within a mile radius of that spot; Solace Meds wanted to go next to Big Thompson Brewery, but that's too close.

I think, while many will be apprehensive about marijuana sales coming back to Loveland, Natural Alternatives is very reputable company, and the sales tax revenue will come in handy for The Sweetheart City.
