We've known a bunch of Denver TV News Anchors over the years, some of whom have been in Denver "since Shep was a pup," as my old boss used to say. Many of them come to Denver as young TV people and spend not just years but decades behind the news desk.

Names like Bob Palmer, Bill Stuart, Adele Arakawa, Ward Lucas, Ed Sardella, Mike Landis, Mike Nelson, Ed Greene, Larry Green, Ron Zappolo, Mark Koebrich, Kim Christiansen and on and on and on will forever be embedded in Denver TV history.

I'm certain there are at least another ten names I could have dropped there, but those were literally just from memory as they flowed out onto the keyboard. Point being, we've been lucky in Colorado to have a TON of personalities stick around a long time.

And then, every now and again, some people come for a few years for a smaller opportunity and parlay that into a larger opportunity somewhere else. That appears to be the case for the latest 9News anchor departing the station.
