If you're not familiar with what the Milkshake Factory is, this is not the first one. In fact, it's not even the first one in the state. There is currently two others in the state. One in Arvada and one in Colorado Springs.

The Fort Collins location will be the third in Colorado, and one of more than 30 across the United States. Their claim to fame is having more than 55 unique milkshakes made with handspun ice cream based on family recipes dating back to 1914.

The family behind the original Milkshake Factory - located in Pittsburgh - go way back in that area to the 19-teens when they first began making gourmet chocolates and selling them at their local soda fountain. More than 100 years later, the family tradition lives on with Milkshake Factories being franchised across the United States.

For America's 250th birthday celebration, they are going to be running a buy one-get one special on the 4th of July at the existing Colorado locations, in addition to their "All-American Classics Menu" that runs throughout the rest of the summer.

The opening date for the Fort Collins location will be available soon.
