Colorado Has a New Movie Theater For Those Who Love Movies

In an age where "going to the movies" seems to be fading from Coloradans and Americans lives, it's great to see a company keep opening theaters. One chain came to Colorado for the first time, in a suburb of Denver.

Who is the 'New to Colorado Movie Chain South of Denver?

20 miles south of Downtown Denver is the Town of Parker, a great little town that has a fun "vibe" while being a part of Colorado's history. On July 1, 2026, the Town made history, in a way, as having the first Emagine Movie Theatre west of the Mississippi. They started in Michigan in 1997 as Cinema Hollywood.

This location in Parker was home to an AMC movie theater that was at 18625 Stage Run Road for 20 years (it closed in September of 2025.) Emagine grabbed the opportunity to continue the movie-going experience there, after renovating and upgrading the theater.

Emagine Parker More Than Just a Movie Theatre

Folks will not only be coming to Emagine Parker for movies - with heated leather recliners, large format screens, the full bar, and stone-fired pizzas, but also for live events.

A section of the main lobby opens up to reveal a space for live music, talks, etc., with room for table and catering along a large screen. That area can also be closed for private events, within.

With luck, if Emagine Parker succeeds, Emagine will bring one of their theatres to Northern Colorado and breathe some "new life" into the movie-going scene. One highlight that they feature is that every pre-show on the screen is only 15 minutes, no longer.
