Just when you might think that this Loveland location was set to be empty, who moves back in? A Colorado Mexican restaurant that had been there for about four years.

2 Amigo's Cocina Set For Return to Former Downtown Loveland Location

Many folks around Northern Colorado will be excited to find out that 2 Amigo's Cocina is not only "sitting still" once again, but they're coming back to their old spot at 116 South Lincoln in Downtown Loveland. They were at that location for nearly four years, ending in early 2025.

2 Amigo's had decided to concentrate on their mobile catering/food truck operation; with that, Chili Verde Mexican Grill moved into the spot in late 2025. Chili Verde, however, had internal struggles, and they closed up shop for good in September of 2026. Perhaps 2 Amigo's Cocina saw this as a great opportunity to give a "brick-and-mortar" location another shot.

They announced on their Facebook page that they'd be back in operation on October 23, 2026. I think this is great; the spot, though problematic with parking, has seen success: Alberto's Burritos was there for nearly 15 years (2007-2021). I've seen the 2 Amigo's personnel in there getting things ready, including taking down the Chili Verde Mexican Grill sign outside.

2 Amigo's Cocina Returns to Loveland - With a Catch

2 Amigo's is returning to bring back their great breakfast burritos and tamales; however, they state they'll be there "until the building sells." The family that owns/runs 2 Amigo's also owns the building, which is currently on the market for about $600,000.  Perhaps the restaurant will see so much success that they won't sell.
