Possible Measles Exposure at Loveland’s Medical Center of the Rockies
With measles being one of the most contagious infectious diseases around, the thought of an outbreak in any Colorado town can be concerning. A person form Weld County was in Loveland, most likely seeking help, and may have exposed others to measles.
It must have been hard for the person to go to UCHealth's Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR,) probably knowing that they had measles and could expose others who may not have been vaccinated, like themselves. Desperate times call for desperate measures, as they say.
Person With Measles Was at MCR on Back-to-Back Days
According too The Colorado Sun, this person was the emergency room of MCR on March 17, 2026 and then the next day at MCR's pharmacy. While many people are vaccinated against measles, there are also a lot of people who have opted out of the vaccine. Imagine being at the hospital for something non-measles related, and then contracting the disease.
What Time Frame Do People Need to Be Concerned With?
