A 'Sweetheart City' slugger is one of Colorado's best athletes, according to Gatorade, for the second season in a row.

The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) announced on May 28, 2020, that Laurin Krings, a pitcher for Loveland High School Softball, has been named Colorado's Best Softball Player by Gatorade, her second consecutive win for the award.

Laurin helped the Indians go 24-4 in the fall of 2019, taking them to the Class 5A state quarterfinals. Her stats include an ERA of 0.59 and 339 strikeouts.

She's signed with Missouri with a 3.48 GPA.
