One Broncos Coordinator Remains; One Gets His First Shot At The Role
The offseason is barely a week old and we having watched a single second of this weekend's Super Bowl yet, but already the Denver Broncos are looking forward to the 2026 season.
After previously announcing the departure of a few longtime Sean Payton assistant coaches, the team announced this week a couple of "good news" items hopefully that will pay dividends in 2026.

For starters, after widely being considered for multiple head coaching jobs this year, Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph will be returning to the Broncos for another season, leading Denver's record breaking defense for at least another year. Most figured he would be offered and accept another crack at a head coach role this year, but for one reason or another it didn't work out. Which is good news for us!
But here's another slice of good news for 2026. Davis Webb, the Broncos' passing game coordinator in 2025 and coaching ally of quarterback Bo Nix the last two years has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator for the upcoming season. Webb himself is a former NFL quarterback, having last played in 2022 before getting into coaching for the 2023 season.
Webb's name has been mentioned all year as already a head coaching candidate - at the ripe age of 31, by the way - but opted instead to get some time under his belt as an offensive coordinator before taking that next step in his career.

The Broncos have a ton of money to spend this offseason, leaving many fans in Colorado to already be looking past this weekend's Super Bowl, and already counting down the days till September.
