Denver Advances to AFC Championship for First Time In Decade
All football season long, Broncos fans have had to listen to other fans call Denver the worst division winner, the worst #1 seed ever, the luckiest team of all time, and many, many other disrespectful things.
Today those people HAVE to give the Denver Broncos some credit for a hard fought win over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs, beating the Bills 33-30 in overtime. But let's be honest... they probably won't.

Overtime was made possible by a freak interception made by Broncos defensive back Ja'Quan McMillian, one that proved to be the difference maker in the game for Denver. After Denver failed to score on their first possession in overtime, Buffalo was driving down the field into field goal range, which would have given them the OT win.
QB Josh Allen threw the deep ball to Brandin Cooks, who at first appeared to have caught the ball, only to have it wrestled away by McMillian as the two collided and tumbled to the ground. There was no official review, though the replays clearly showed that Cooks never fully had it long enough to be ruled a catch, and McMillian came up with the ball. It was Denver's ball and things only got uglier for the Bills from there.

Denver managed to travel down the field thanks to big play calls and a few penalties that ultimately got them into field goal range themselves, setting up Broncos kicker Wil Lutz for the game-winning 24-yard field goal.
Denver now advances to the AFC Championship, which will be played in Denver next Sunday against the winner of tomorrow's Patriots-Texans Divisional matchup in New England.
