What is better than a new bicycle on Christmas Morning? Nothing! Some kids never that special gift. You can help change that.

Realities For Children’s Bikes For Tykes program has been giving bicycles and new helmets to the children they serve since 1996.  Each year, kind-hearted individuals, groups and organizations donate their new or gently used bicycles to us during the months of November and December (although they will accept bikes at any time during the year), then they safety-check and refurbish them through their local bike shop partners

Then on a happy day in December each year, the bikes are given to registered youth who are being served by one of Realities For Children's Affiliate Youth Agencies who serve local children who have been abused, neglected or are at-risk.

Each child arrives with the chance to choose THE PERFECT BIKE  out of the hundreds of bicycles in the room. Every child is given a helmet to ensure safe riding, and the time and attention of a personal Elf Shopper to help them with their selection. Bicycle mechanics are on-hand to properly adjust seat height, and install training wheels if needed.
