Windsor’s Popular Hawaiian Restaurant Closing This Month
Okole Maluna Restaurant is bidding "aloha for now" to its customers this month.
Owners Andy and Juliet Higa announced that they will close the 431 Main St. Downtown Windsor restaurant on Nov. 25. The owners left the door open to reboot the restaurant down the road as they navigate COVID-19 challenges.
The restaurant, whose name means "Bottom's Up," has been serving Hawaiian comfort food since 2004. The Higas both grew up in Hawaii and wanted to bring their native cuisine to their new home after attending Colorado State University.
With the Townsquare offices just across the street, we'll be rooting for this unique eatery to reopen someday and wish the Higa's well in their future endeavors.
