Feeling ‘Totally Burned-Out in Colorado?’ Turns Out, You Aren’t Alone

Colorado ranks among the top 10 states that are feeling burned out at their job, at a scale that's nearly 20% higher than the national average. Is the state on the brink of a mass exodus for "greener pastures?'
Maybe you feel undervalued; maybe you're being asked to do more and more, these days; maybe you just "want out." Burn out at any job can happen.
With this new data, there's good news: People are searching for ways to beat it.

'BURNOUT' RISK FACTORS FOR COLORADO WORKERS
According to the Mayo Clinic, there are four major risk factors for "job burnout," do they sound familiar to you?
- You feel you have little or no control over your work.
- You work in a helping profession, such as health care.
- You struggle with work-life balance.
- You have a heavy workload and long hours.
With job burn-out, can come issues that can further complicate your life
- Fatigue.
- Insomnia.
- Alcohol abuse.

WHERE DOES COLORADO RANK WHEN IT COMES TO 'JOB BURNOUT?'
A study done by a drug and alcohol rehab center in Thailand, Diamond Rehab, looked at how much each state in the U.S. was searching out work burnout-related terms and phrases, each month over a one-year period.
Colorado landed at #7 on that list with 587 searches per 100,000 Coloradans; Massachusetts takes the top spot for "job burn-out searching," with 690 per 100,000 people.

- "Depersonalization" (a lack of empathy, and caring.)
- "Burn-out symptoms"
Colorado seems to be in line with most of the states when it comes to those two terms.
