The alpaca is now recovering from eye surgery and will be ready for adoption after the holiday season. The Daily Camera reports the alpaca, whose nickname is "LC," has not been claimed by the owner. She was found near Lyons Crest by Boulder County Sheriff's Deputies and then turned over to an animal rescue in Longmont.

She did have an eye removed because of an injury and needs one final checkup before she can be adopted.
