Alana Lynn loves being a morning and midday DJ. Following in the footsteps of her morning radio host father, she has turned a love into a career and a career into her passion. Attending the University of New Mexico and the University of Oregon, Alana earned degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. Deciding to try her hand at TV, she headed east of the Mississippi to the bright lights of New York City, where she became a staff member of “Good Morning America.” She had the opportunity to work on projects for Robin Roberts, Oprah, Regis & Kelly, Emeril and Wolfgang Puck. Alana then moved back to Albuquerque for an opportunity of a lifetime co-hosting a morning radio show with her dad. While doing that she also served as a sideline reporter for the CBS-TV affiliate in Albuquerque. Getting an offer from a major market and one of the countries heritage radio stations 98.7 KUPL, Alana made the big move to Portland, OR. Because radio takes you to many different places, Portland was not her last stop, the chance came up to work with Randy Scott, one of her best friends, so Alana moved to Idaho taking the role of Morning Show co-host and music director on WOW 104.3 where during that time she worked with artists such as Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Eric Church and Garth Brooks. Having lived in the Springs for seven years when she was younger, Alana’s end goal had always been to be back in Colorado, in the summer of 2015 she decided to take a leap of Faith and without knowing where she would land she packed up her things, pets, and bought a house in Northern Colorado. Alana’s other passion is charity work with organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Special Olympics. In her spare time Alana LOVES CrossFit and hiking the many beautiful Colorado trails with her 100lb lap dog, Lucy the Wonder Dog. She looks forward to seeing you around Northern Colorado!
