The Weld County Coroner’s Office has identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a motorcycle versus truck collision earlier this week in Longmont.

The coroner’s office has identified the two crash victims as father and daughter, 54-year-old Michael Scott Sluman and 24-year-old Riley Mae Sluman of Evans.

According to a Sept. 21 news release from the Frederick Police Department, Frederick Police responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck near the Bella Rosa Golf Course on Colorado Boulevard at around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Initial reports regarding the Tuesday night crash stated that a 24-year-old female driver, who was driving a 1999 Chevy Silverado Pickup, was headed northbound on Colorado Blvd. when she suddenly struck a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle - that was also traveling northbound - in the 8500 block of Colorado Blvd.

The female passenger of the motorcycle, who has since been identified as 24-year-old Riley Mae Sluman of Evans, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The male driver of the motorcycle, who has since been identified as 54-year-old Michael Scott Sluman of Evans, was pronounced dead shortly after being transported and admitted to a nearby hospital.

The Firestone Police Department and Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District were also on scene to assist the Frederick Police Department on Tuesday night.

Colorado Boulevard (CR 13) between Godding Hollow Boulevard (CR 18) and Pine Cone Avenue (CR20) was closed to traffic following the crash but reopened at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 22) according to officials.

The female driver of the pickup truck remains hospitalized; her identity has not been made public information at this time.

The Frederick Police Department is asking anyone who may have information regarding the Tuesday night fatal crash to call the Frederick Police at (720) 382-5700.
