Pending approval, local businesses including restaurants in Windsor, Greeley and Evans will now be able to increase indoor capacity as long as they can meet a very important Covid 19 metric.

According to the Greeley Tribune, these cities will need to meet a 2 week cumulative metric to meet full approval. That metric is a two week incidence rate of 350 per 100,000 for seven consecutive days. That would mean an increase from 25% capacity to 50%.

That would allow businesses in these cities to operate at level yellow even though Weld County is still at Level Orange.

I could throw a bunch of numbers and stats at you right now but quite frankly, I'm terrible with numbers and they're kind of confusing to look at.

Bottom line is...there's hope and after dealing with this stuff for the past year, that's the most important thing we can have right now is hope. For us personally, for our local businesses and everyone in our communities.

As much as I've enjoyed supporting many of our local establishments through take out...it's going to be great to go back into these places and meet new people and thank these business owners and staff for all they've done and endured through this pandemic.

Larimer County also has a Level Up program that could be activated in the future.
