Well, here we go again.

Earlier this year when the Aaron Rodgers to Denver rumors were flying high, I wrote an open letter to Aaron about why he should come to Denver. But unfortunately, the Green Bay Packers wouldn't let him out of his contract and grant his trade request wishes and he's still their quarterback. For now.

As this season has progressed, it's been up and down for the Broncos and while current quarterback Teddy Bridgewater hasn't been terrible and has actually shown flashes of - I don't want to say greatness but really solid play - there's no doubt in my mind, and I'm sure in the minds of many members of Broncos Country, that Denver needs to find a franchise quarterback.

This leads me to a guy I watched play up close and personal for almost nine years in Seattle: Russell Wilson.

I moved to Seattle back in 2012, the same year Russell Wilson was drafted, so it would only make sense that Wilson follows me to Colorado, right? Okay, maybe that's not a very good reason, but yes, he is still under contract with the Seattle Seahawks. But like Rodgers last offseason, Wilson was open to a trade.

This season has been pretty much a disaster for the once mighty Seahawks who are now sitting at 3-7. There have been many reports from inside NFL sources that say Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll's relationship is all but over and that this will be their last season together.

This is where the Denver Broncos could swoop in and get the eight-time pro bowler and Super Bowl champion. Oops, don't mean to bring back memories of that Super Bowl debacle for the Broncos and the Seahawks back in February of 2014. But how cool would it be if Wilson came to Denver and brought one to the Mile High City?!

So Broncos Country, I'm going to do you a solid and try to recruit Russell Wilson to the Mile High City. I can't make any guarantees, but I'm going to give it my best shot, so here goes:

Dear Russell,

It's your good buddy and old pal AJ from Seattle. We had some great times together and I really enjoyed watching you play many games in the Emerald City, so I'd like to give you some reasons on why you should come to Denver after this season, other than I selfishly want to watch you play in person again. Because as great as your run in Seattle has been, it's time for a fresh start and I can't think of a better place for that than Denver and here's why.

1. New Ownership is coming:

Since the late, great Pat Bowlen passed, the ownership situation has been rocky to say the least. But that's going to change next year which will bring consistence, and hopefully relevancy, back to this proud franchise who has been starving to get behind their next franchise quarterback and bring a Super Bowl back to the Mile High City.

2. Super Bowl Payback

Living in Seattle at the time the Seahawks beat up the Broncos in Super Bowl 48 was an awesome experience. For us anyway. But now, you have a chance to win one with the team that you beat and how cool would it be to be revered in a city where you once were hated because you broke their hearts. Coloradans are good people and in Broncos Country, those fans are about as proud as they get - with all due respect to the 12's who are awesome as well.

3. The Weather

It's so much better here. With over 300 days of sunshine, you will no longer have to deal with the endless gray days for seven months out of the year and get some vitamin D.

Winters in Denver and Colorado are awesome because not only do we get those 300 days of sunshine, the winters are filled with snow are brimming with outdoor adventures in the Rocky Mountains, which are practically in our backyard.

In the summer, you have sunshine and no humidity. Think about how nice training camp will be here with hardly any humidity, especially compared to the oppressive humidity that consumes the midwest in the dog days of summer while training camp is happening.

4. What have the Seahawks done for you lately?

You've been sacked over 400 times in your career, more than almost any other quarterback since 2012 and you've only missed one game in that entire time. They have, year in and year out, promised to improve the offensive line and have failed to do so.

Instead of going out and getting what you need in terms of protection, there have been "stop gaps" that really haven't stopped much of anything or anyone in terms of you getting hit.

Look, your time in Seattle was legendary and simply awesome, but things change, people change, and sometimes a change in scenery is just what the doctor ordered.

5. Coaching

Pete Carroll is a coaching legend and while you quite honestly don't have that here yet in Vic Fangio. But, changes are sure to come in that aspect at the end of the season and with the early rumors that your former assistant coach in Seattle Dan Quinn is rumored to be one of the early favorites to be the next Broncos coach...it would be cool to play with a coach that you know. And, more importantly, knows you and your skillset.

6. The Fans

I will never say anything bad about the 12's in Seattle and all over the country because when the Seahawks travel, there are always a ton of blue and green in the stadium and it's a great fan base. But so is Broncos Country.

Just like Seattle fans, Broncos fans are known for their noise. Lots of noise. Now they just need more reasons to make noise, and I have no doubt in mind that you could give them plenty of reasons to bring back some Mile High Thunder.

Combine the noise with the altitude and you have an "attitude" that is sensed all around the Mile High City and the state of Colorado itself. The Broncos are Colorado's team, and there are very few home field advantages quite like the advantage here in Denver.

7. The Team

This Broncos team is young, loaded, and hungry to win. The offense features not one but two great running backs in Melvin Gordon and rookie Javonte Williams, who runs a lot like another guy you used to play with: Beast-mode, Marshawn Lynch.

Wanna pass? Okay no problem, you'll have an entire stable of receivers along with one of the best tight ends in the NFL. Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick and Noah Fant. Granted one of these guys may need to be included in the trade that gets you here but still, there's a lot of talent on this team. They just need a great QB to get them the ball.

8. Colorado is a great place to raise a family

This place is bursting with things to do and experience for kids of all ages. There's just so many neat things to do and places to explore - life experiences that, I'm sure being the "bajillion-aire" that you are, have no shortage of having. Just check out some of the few awesome things to do and places to go in Colorado.

With all of this being said, let's not get ahead of ourselves too much: it's going to take a lot to land Wilson in a trade.

But the Broncos have a lot in terms of salary cap space - second most in the NFL for 2022 - and they have plenty of players to sweeten the pot for the Seahawks to pull the trigger on a potential trade.

Sure, the Broncos would probably have to give up a lot to get Russell Wilson but they have the chips. It's just a question of whether they want to go all in on that long elusive franchise quarterback and make another run at a Super Bowl.
