Join me as I travel around Northern Colorado in search of 'NoCo's Greatest Pie.' This week, a stop in at Windsor's newest spot for a pizza pie.

You may not have heard that Windsor has a new pizza/Italian place, PizzaVino.

It's right next to Mighty River Brewing off of Fairgrounds Avenue and Colonial Park Drive, near the Highland Meadows Golf Course.

You can probably guess, what with being so close to the golf course and all, that PizzaVino is going to be more stylish of a place to enjoy a pizza, and it is. I would not call it a 'joint.'  There's lots of seating, including those at the [full] bar; it's bright and has a few TVs as well.

When it comes to pizzas, they keep it simple. There's not a bunch of 'signature' pies to choose from. They have nine in total, and my cohort, Jake, and I went with the 'Three Meat.'

The hand-tossed 15" thin crust pie came out quick, which is great when you're stepping out of work for lunch.

Though it was a 15" pie, Jake and I had no problem finishing it off.

I thought the pepperoni had just the right amount of spiciness and the sausage was fantastic. I guess I thought the pie could have used more of the third meat, pancetta.

The service was great and it really does have a nice atmosphere. But, do bring your wallet when you go.

Being so new to the area, there aren't many Google Reviews, but the 41 people who've reviewed them gave PizzaVino an average of 4.8 out of 5.

I'm going to have to disagree.

My 'Pizza My Heart' Review: 4.5 pepperonis out of 5.

Thanks, gang.
