Many folks in Colorado who have moved here from the eastern part of the nation are big fans of Dunkin', as they are just about everywhere "back east." It looks like Windsor will be getting a new one after the last one shut down in 2020.

South Windsor to Welcome New Dunkin' Location

With the southbound closure of Colorado Boulevard at Crossroads Boulevard, I travel west on Crossroads to Centerra Parkway to go south towards Highway 34 and my way home to Loveland after work. In late September, I noticed that work was being done to the former Arby's off Crossroads, east of Fuzzy's Tacos.

Windsor Did Have a Dunkin' at One Time

I think this is going to be a successful Dunkin', as there are several hotels in that area, such as SugarHill Suites; it will give visitors the opportunity to get out to a nearby place for some coffee/doughnuts, etc. Hopefully, it will have a longer existence than the Dunkin' that was off of Main and 15th Street, which was open from 2015 until 2020.

The Dunkin' on Main was also a Baskin-Robbins for its last few years, as Baskin-Robbins' parent company bought out Dunkin' in 1990. I would not be surprised if the franchisee of this new Dunkin' opts to add in Baskin-Robbins; again, it goes back to visitors staying at nearby hotels with children.

Personally, I (like many others) still miss the coffee shop that was where the "Main Street' Dunkin' was located: Alba Coffe. Alba was only open for four years, but it was a great spot to get a coffee and read a book (they had their own selection that you could read).
