A football player at Colorado State University was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of drunk driving.

Justin Sweet, 21, was arrested by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office at the intersection of West Laurel Street and South College Avenue just northeast of CSU's campus, the Coloradoan reports. He was booked into Larimer County Jail at 12:59 a.m. and released on bond at 7:49 a.m.

Sweet, a junior from Las Vegas, is being charged with speeding, driving under the influence/driving while ability impaired by drugs or alcohol, and driving a vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or more.

According to the Coloradoan, Sweet played in 5 games last season and made 6 tackles while playing behind senior Trent Matthews, a 3-year starter.
