Pool Players in Northern Colorado Frustrated by Sudden Price Increase
Coloradans out for some fun in the Fort Collins might look at shooting a game of pool on a coin-operated table. The cost of which, isn't what it used to be.
You Should Plan on Spending More to Shoot Pool When You Go Out
When you enjoy playing pool, it can be a great way to kill time with friends. The sound of balls, the "so close" shots, the agony of "scratching" the eight ball. "Set 'em up again, loser.." as they dig some more money out of your pocket.

While there are a lot of places that have certain times that you don't have to play for a game of pool, and there are places that just charge by the hour to play on their tables, if you're looking to "shoot some pool," be prepared to pay more per game.
Just like everything else, the price of a game around Northern Colorado saw a price increase in the summer of 2025.
East End Ale House in Loveland is a place to find free pool on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The next time you go out for game of pool around Northern Colorado, be ready to pay not just one dollar, but $1.50. The owners/operators of the tables across the area have seen cost increases, and since adding tables isn't an option (there are only so many places,) it comes down to raising the price of a game.
I've seen a lot of people angered/frustrated by the change, but, sooner or later, coin-operated tables will have "card readers" where you swipe to pay; at that point the cost of a game could go up to $3.00.
