While officials don't yet know if Northern Colorado is getting a white Christmas this year, the Denver area has had its fair share of snowfall on December 25.

However, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), the phrase 'white Christmas' has a few different definitions: one inch or more of snow on the ground, or any measurable snowfall (.1 inch or more).

If we're choosing the former definition, Denver residents saw the greatest amount of snow on the ground in 1982, following a Christmas Eve snowstorm:
