Why Paul Loves Derek Jeter [VIDEO]

He's the Captain. Captain America, one could say.

It will be very interesting to see where his career goes next.

As I watched him walk off with a single in his last home game, then, heard the fans at Fenway of all places cheer him as he allowed a pinch runner take his place to relieve him for the last time, tears of happiness filled my eyes.

What a player. What a role model. What a class act.

Why do I love him? Watch this video.

As promised, here is the video from hater Keith Olberman. Actually, he makes some pretty good points.

The numbers aren't why we love Jeter. Though, without 3,000 hits, and without having the most hits of any Yankee, I don't know if his immortality would have been as sure as it is now. But it's not the numbers that we love. We love him. We love him because he has a total package that we are always looking for.
