Weld County Sheriff’s Office Issues a Warning Over Scam
We all know someone who has either been contacted by a scammer or have fallen victim. The most recent scam that has been bought to light is focusing on residents of northern Colorado.
The Weld County Sheriff's Office has issued a warning for residents to be aware of someone that goes by the name of "David Garcia" who is claiming to be a detective with Weld County Sheriff's Office. The person who is making these calls states they are from the warrant/citation division stating that the person he is calling was suppose to appear before a Grand Jury attempting to obtain personal information. The number that this person is calling from is 720-438-5553.
