Voice Recognition Software – Not all it’s Cracked up to be

I am a huge proponent of technology, but when it comes to voice recognition technology it leaves something to be desired. I downloaded several automatic voice dialers for my iPhone and it was ridiculous trying to get any of them to work.

Recently, my friend Todd was trying to show me how his SIRI on his new iPhone 4 was cool. It didn't work worth a damn. Just made me laugh as he kept talking into his phone and nothing came out like it was supposed to.

It reminded me of an email from my Dad a while back after he'd bought voice recognition software for his email, because his arthritis was bothering him, he thought it would be a good idea.
