The state of Colorado is comprised of many great towns and cities that dot the landscape, but there are a few that stand out against the others.

According to the website Thrillist, they recently did an article where they picked the top small towns to visit in each state and many people may agree with their selection for Colorado.

With a population of 2,370 people, they list the town of Telluride as the top town to visit in the state.

While they say the drive to Telluride definitely isn't the easiest, it's made up for what you encounter when you first arrive to the town.

They point out the Bridal Veil waterfall and the skiing that help in getting it to stand out amongst the rest, plus they say that it is now one of the best festival destinations with the town spearheaded by the Bluegrass Festival and Film Festival.

Never been to Telluride? This video may give you the best indication of how great it is.

The town of Centennial, Wyoming makes the list for the Cowboy State, with a year round population of only 270 people. It is located 30 miles outside of Laramie at the start of the Medicine Bow mountain range.
