Stepmom Arrested in Connection to Gannon Stauch’s Disappearance
Gannon Stauch, an 11-year-old boy from the Colorado Springs area, has not been seen since January 27. His stepmom was arrested today on first-degree murder charges.
Authorities and volunteers have been searching for Gannon Stauch for over a month, as he was last seen on January 27, 2020, as his stepmother says he was headed to a friend's.
That stepmother, Leticia Stauch, is now in custody in South Carolina on charges of first-degree murder.
According to the Denver Post, her story kept changing the more she was interviewed about Gannon's disappearance, and there's footage of him getting into a truck that day.
Leticia Stauch was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and will be extradited to Colorado to face the charges.
