Sex Offenders in Fort Collins; What You Need to Know This Halloween

Halloween in Fort Collins is right around the corner, and you are going to start planning your route for candy collecting. But do you know who lives in your neighborhood?

We did some research on convicted sex offenders who are currently living in the city of Fort Collins, and the website Family Watchdog reminds us that you need to be aware of who is living on your trick or treat route.

Some people think it's not fair that it is publicized on where these sex offenders live, and where you need to be careful.

But here's how we look at it: You did the crime, and you better be ready to face the consequences for many years down the line.

When we did a search of the city on the Family Watchdog site, here is where the different offenders came up. Need to know what the different colors mean? Here is some info for you to decipher it all:

OFFENSE AGAINST A CHILD

Light Red = Offenders Home

Dark Red = Another location of the offender

SEXUAL BATTERY

Light Purple = Offenders Home

Dark Purple = Another location of the offender

RAPE

Yellow = Offenders Home

Orange = Another location of the offender

OTHER OFFENSE

Light Green = Offenders Home

Dark Green = Another location of the offender
