Remember When: Colorado Goes From 100 Degrees To Snow In 2 Days

I don't think you need me to tell you that Colorado weather can be pretty nutty. If you've lived here for any amount of time, the joke is if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes (or less) and it will change.

Another thing I always like to point out is that in any given day or even hours' time, you can experience all four seasons.

September is one of those cusp months that can feature some of the hottest and driest temperatures of the year, kind of like what we've been dealing with over the past few weeks.

It can also bring cold fronts that can drop temperatures on a whim and even bring some snow (although it's not totally common) it certainly happens, and that was never more evident than back in the summer of 2020.

It was already a weird year in itself with the whole COVID stuff, but it got even weirder when Colorado made national news for record high temperatures on Sept. 5 with highs in the triple digits followed by snow within 48 hours.

On Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, a series of cold fronts passed through Colorado and swiftly dropped the temperature during the day from the 90s to the 40s at night.

The next day, Sept. 8,the high just barely hit 40 degrees, and then that evening, a little rain/snow mix began to fall and that lasted through the night and even brought measurable snowfall to residents all along the Front Range including here in Northern Colorado.

This was just bonkers--
