2016 marked the 20th-Anniversary of the death of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey. Several television specials were dedicated to the unsolved murder case and even prompted a lawsuit from JonBenet's brother, Burke.

Netflix is no stranger to the true-crime world (see: Making a Murderer). The company has announced they have the worldwide rights to a JonBenet documentary that was filmed by Australian director Kitty Green. The film is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this month.

The film's crew spent 15 months interviewing neighbors of the Ramsey family in Boulder and tried to dispell some of the lore surrounding the case.

You can see the documentary titled Casting JonBenet on Netflix beginning in spring.
