The summer of 2021 was highly anticipated for the entirety of Colorado: folks slapped on the sunscreen, unloaded their kayaks, and got ready to hit Horsetooth. Since we're in NoCo, though, everyone knows you take your dog with you to do everything, and that's why we asked you: did your dog have the best summer of 2021?

We reached out to our audience for their cutest summer dog pics and then allowed you to vote on your favorite. There was a clear winner: Millie from Fort Collins and her owner, Chelsea, received nearly 2,000 votes out of 5,000 total! WOW!

Chelsea and Millie won a 10 day Board and Train program valued at $2,395 provided by Sit Means Sit Northern Colorado with accommodations by K9 Corral in Fort Collins.

The total prize includes:

  • 10 Days of Accommodations at K9 Corral in Fort Collins
  • 10 Days of Training
  • $300 worth of training equipment
  • 2 Private Lessons
  • 2 Years of Group Training Classes

My Dog Rox is also brought to you by our proud partner First Farm Bank.

We asked Chelsea a few questions about her adorable pup, so you can read more about the winner right here:

1. What kind of a dog is Millie and how old is she?

Millie is a Black lab that just turned 1!

2. What are some of Millie's favorite summer activities?

Millie loves going for walks and playing with her “dog cousin,” Norma! She loves chewing on sticks and playing with her ball. She spent lots of the summer hanging out on the patio with her people! I do lots of DIY projects and furniture flips, so Millie “helped” with lots of projects this summer too!

3. Does Millie have any fun fall trips coming up?

We are hoping to go see all the trees in the mountains as they change colors this fall. We may even see if Millie likes playing in the leaves! We will also be visiting family for the holidays.

Thank you to our sponsor, First Farm Bank as well as to Sit Means Sit Northern Colorado and K9 Corral in Fort Collins.
