$5 Drinks Await You at This Great ‘Secret’ Bar in Denver

Going out for a drink in Denver got more exciting in the summer of 2024, when a bar opened up that serves all drinks for only $5. Only thing is, it's an effort to find.

It's like a scavenger hunt in the sense, you'll feel like you've won the jackpot when you do find this bar. The owner has two other bars just like this in Vermont; it's nice to see the Mile High City getting one, too.

You'll have to hunt them down and grab a drink to celebrate not only a cheap drink, but finding the place, at all.

There's a $5 'Cash Only' Bar Hiding in Downtown Denver

This place is all about Abe Lincoln: All drinks are five bucks (including tax) with pictures of the 16th President all around; it's name - Lincolns. According to Westword, the owner got tired of paying $15 for a cocktail, so he started his own "cheap" bar.

With all the drama around politics these days, having a bar pay homage to Lincoln is great; who doesn't like Abe Lincoln? Get in there and grab a seat in the "John Wilkes Booth," booth. Very clever.

Odell Brewing Steps Up with Special Beer at Lincoln's

According to Westwood, Odell Brewing is brewing a beer solely for this bar, "Lincoln's Lager." I know that I'm ready to get in there and grab one, along with some  $5 chili mac.

Where Is the $5 Cash Only Bar in Downtown Denver?

Again, finding Lincolns is part of the adventure, so be prepared to be flummoxed a bit. Even the story in Westword does not give away the exact spot, as the owner wants to keep it "secret." There's no signage for the place either.

I'll give you this: If you find Rodizio Grill on Wynkoop, near Union Station, your are "red hot." Good luck!
