Have you ever considered how much caffeine you drink a day? About a month ago, I calculated how much caffeine I was drinking and I was shocked.

I have been an energy drinker for years. At times I would have three a day. Two weeks ago I cut out energy drinks completely and I feel so much better.

Too much caffeine can be a major problem. A lot of us in Colorado do not even realize that we are only supposed to have 400 milligrams of caffeine a day.

By the way, that is throughout the entire day. Not all at once. One fast food chain is facing multiple lawsuits due to one of its beverages having too much caffeine.

Do yourself a favor and look at the labels of your sodas, energy drinks, coffee, and other caffeinated beverages. You truly do not realize how much caffeine you are drinking until you do.

Panera Bread unveiled their charged sips drinks two years ago and the chain is officially taking it off the menu.

AP reports that one of their charged sips beverages can have up to 302 milligrams of caffeine. That is almost your entire daily intake in one sitting.

Charged sips were marketed as a healthy alternative to energy drinks. However, it proves to be more dangerous.

Two people have died from heart-related issues linked to the beverage. Panera Bread is being sued and they are officially taking charged sips off of their menu at all locations in Colorado.

For reference, there are 96 milligrams of caffeine in a cup of coffee.
