A late-night traffic stop on March 3, led to the arrest of one of Greeley's most wanted fugitives, 23-year-old Jeremiah Sandoval. 

According to the Greeley Tribune, just before midnight, a special police team with the Greeley Police Department stopped a vehicle near 26th Street and 49th Avenue. Upon being stopped, a passenger exited the car and began to walk away.

An officer recognized the man who was walking away as Jeremiah Sandoval, and after making contact, subsequently placed him into custody. Police also located a .22-caliber hand gun strapped to the suspect's stomach.

At the time of his arrest, Sandoval was wanted on a felony warrant for parole violation. In addition, he was charged with possession of a weapon by a previous offender. Prior to this incident, Sandoval had been arrested 13 different times between 2015-2019.

Sandoval remains behind bars at the Weld County Jail.
