GPD Says This Sexually Violent Predator Is Now Living In Greeley
Officials from the City of Greeley are warning the community that a man who meets the criteria of a sexually violent predator is now living within city limits.
The Greeley Police Department shared a Sexually Violent Predator notification via Twitter on Tuesday (Jan. 4), stating that 37-year-old Fred Alfred Parker is now residing at the following Greeley address: 1803 9th St.
As per the bulletin, Parker was convicted for attempted sex assault on a child; he is not on parole or probation.
Fred Alfred Parker is described as 6 feet tall, 200 lbs, has brown hair and hazel eyes; he is currently unemployed and does not have a vehicle registered to his name, according to Greeley Police.
A sexual offender is designated as a sexually violent predator when the courts deem them to be a high risk for re-offending. As of late December 2021, there are 19,710 registered sex offenders currently living across Colorado.
According to Greeley police, there are 416 registered sex offenders registered with the Greeley Police Department.
In addition, there are reportedly 392 offenders living in Colorado that have been evaluated and meet the criteria to be publicly considered a sexually violent predator; nine of them live in Greeley.
State law requires police departments to publicly share information about parties determined to be sexually violent predators.
Additionally, officials noted that vigilantism or use of this information to harass, threaten, or intimidate this offender is criminal behavior and will not be tolerated.
