Airlines, often times we have a love hate relationship with them. We love them for the excitement they can carry you to when heading on a fun vacation or simple getaway but often times, between delays, cancellations, extra fees and even crappy service for some, they can leave us frustrated and flat out angry.

Since 2020, there seems to be a lot of lingering frustration and anger towards cancelled flights, delays, the rebooking process and getting refunds for flights that were either cancelled or postponed due to Covid 19.

Now, it seems like it's time for airlines to pay up and Frontier is stepping up in a big way by shelling out around $222 million in refunds for its customers for various inconveniences.

“When Americans buy a ticket on an airline, we expect to get to our destination safely, reliably and affordably, and our job at DOT is to hold airlines accountable for these expectations,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said.

Fair enough and I'm not going to lie, it feels good to have someone sticking up for us for a change instead getting the same old "too bad for you" answers we get many times from various airlines.

In addition to Frontier paying up big bucks for refunds, four other foreign airlines among others will also be shelling out some big bucks to their customers and while it's still a little unclear about the process in which that will be done, it's going to be done soon.
