Fort Collins Police Car Part of Mulberry Street Collision
A Fort Collins Police car had its lights flashing and sirens roaring on the way to a reported robbery on Friday (Dec. 4) afternoon when it was involved in a serious collision.
According to an official press release, both the police officer and the adult male driver of a 2004 Subaru station wagon were taken to an area hospital for injury evaluation.
The incident that occurred around 3 p.m. closed the Mulberry Street/Remington Street intersection for about five hours. Police said in the press release that they "are investigating multiple factors to determine what contributed to the collision."
The 2017 Ford Explorer Police vehicle was heading west on Mulberry Street. The Subaru was heading north on Remington Street.
