First Annual Monster Day Coming to Downtown Greeley [PICTURES]
Monster Day is coming to Downtown Greeley on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 4 to 9 pm. It’s a family-friendly celebration of all things “monster!” With the debut of the Greeley Gremlin, music, entertainment, face painting, costume contests, demonstrations, and of course, monsters.
Greeley’s own famous monster makers, Distortions Unlimited, will have some of their creatures on display as well as live painting demonstrations. You will be able to take pictures with over a dozen of Distortion Unlimited’s larger creatures, watch live mask painting demos, Hollywood style professional monster makeup applications, monster-themed art, and other monster related fun.
Earlier in the day the Greeley Ice Haus will have a “Superhero vs. Monster” skate and the Kress will show a monster matinee. The High Plains Library District will be sharing some monster lore. There will be a costume contest and giveaways. There’s a rumor that “Dead Elvis” will make an appearance!
Children who would rather keep the monsters at a distance will be given a special “monster repellent” to keep them away.
