Bruce Springsteen Autographed Concert Keyboard at The Elizabeth
Not just The Boss, but all the key players of the E Street Band signed a keyboard that was used in one of their concerts, and now it resides at The Elizabeth Hotel!
The Elizabeth Hotel in Downtown Fort Collins is definitely one-of-a-kind for this area. Super-fancy, but with a laid-back feel. They really enjoy music, there. One way they show that is with all the rooms having a record player with selected albums ready to play.
Another is the Magic Rat Music bar/venue. 'Magic Rat' is a character in Bruce Springsteen's 'Jungleland' song off of Born to Run. Magic Rat has some of the lyrics to the song up on one of the walls. It's very cool.
Just recently, they upped the game in their recognition of Bruce and the E Street Band. They've installed a signed keyboard that was used in one of the band's concerts. The keyboard was auctioned off for a charity in San Diego, and the person who won it has a brother in Fort Collins who knows of Magic Rat and suggested the keyboard should come to the Choice City.
The keyboard/piano must have been signed before 2011, as you can see Clarence Clemons' signature on it (The Big Man on saxophone passed away in 2011). Signatures also include Patti Scialfa (vocals, synthesizers), Max Wienberg (drums), Steven Van Zandt (guitars, vocals), Nils Lofgren (guitar), Roy Bittan (piano) Garry Tallent (bass) and Bruce The Boss Springsteen!
You need to get over to The Elizabeth and Magic Rat to see it for yourself! It's very cool!
