A fire at a drilling site sent seven people to the hospital Monday night (Dec. 9), fire authorities said.

According to the Longmont Times-Call, Mountain View Fire Rescue Chief David Beebe said  that responders were called around 8:30 p.m. to deal with a fire near the intersection of County Line Road and County Road 20.5 on Monday night.

The seven injured workers were transported to hospitals near the Longmont drill site and reportedly are not in critical condition.

According to Times-Call Beebe said, “We don’t know the cause of the fire... We’re working with the operator to make sure everything is shut down and safe.”
