Loveland Police Department Catches Extreme Speeder doing 84 in 35
The Loveland Police Department arguably has the best police Twitter/X account in all of Colorado, and yesterday was no exception.
While extreme speeding is nothing to laugh about, the way the PD breaks the news almost always is.
A driver was caught doing nearly 50 MPH over the speed limit, being pulled over for doing 84 in a 35 MPH residential area. The car was pulled over by one of Loveland's many unmarked units that are around and waiting to catch people going way too fast, especially in areas that they shouldn't be.
"84 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. Unless your car doubles as a DeLorean time machine pushing for 88 MPH, no valid reason exists for that speed in a residential neighborhood," says @PoliceLoveland on Twitter/X.
I'd be remiss not to point out that the DeLorean had been converted to a FLYING DeLorean when Doc Brown took Marty and Jennifer to the future on a residential street.
If you recall, "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need... roads" is a classic line from the movie, as the DeLorean lifts off and blasts to 88 MPH in the sky, straight to the futuristic year of... 2015. Which was 11 years ago now. And our cars still don't fly.
Regardless, 84 on an actual road in Loveland is a no-go for the Loveland PD. While their social media is hilarious, the larger message is not.
"We run these traffic details across Loveland every chance we get. We shouldn’t have to. Driver responsibility matters. Slow down, avoid the ticket, and more importantly, keep the Sweetheart City safe," they posted online.
Well said.
