25-Year-Old Man Indicted for Weld County Murder

A 25-year-old man who is currently serving twelve years in prison in the Arkansas Department of Corrections has now been indicted on murder charges stemming from an incident that occurred in Weld County during the summer of 2017.

David Houston-Harvey is already doing time for his involvement with the same case, in which he initially claimed that he accidentally shot a female passenger in his vehicle as the two were traveling together through Weld County, from Wyoming to Denver. According to the original story that Houston-Harvey relayed to investigators, the victim, Laramie Cline, stated she had wanted to stay in Colorado, but he wanted to return to Arkansas or Alabama. Cline had pointed her gun at him, and when Houston-Harvey reacted by grabbing it, the firearm discharged and killed Cline. Following the passenger's death, Houston-Harvey then put Cline's body in his suitcase, in the trunk, and proceeded to drive the victim's car to Arkansas, where he then dumped her body. The 12-year sentence was a result of this, however Houston-Harvey later told his girlfriend that he actually shot and killed the victim while she was sleeping.

Although a court date has not yet been set in Weld County, Houston-Harvey is now being charged with Murder in the First Degree, Murder in the Second Degree, Robbery, and Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft in the First Degree.
