Hanging Lake is not only one of the most talked about hikes in Colorado, it's also one of the most talked about in the country. The turquoise lake will astound you as soon as your eyes are set on it, and the peace and quiet will make you feel like you are in another world. The lake is approximately 10 miles east of Glenwood Springs.

Artists and bands that perform at Red Rocks all talk about how it is the pinnacle of their career. As someone who has attended a few shows there himself, I will also say there is no other venue in the world like it. If you are lucky to be there on a calm night with no clouds in the sky, it makes the show you are seeing that much more magical.

I took my first trip up Old Fall River Road this past summer, after I have been afraid of heights for MANY years. Are there some pretty interesting switchbacks and hairpin turns? Most definitely. But the views and the scenery you get are like no other place, and I even put the drive up Old Fall River Road a notch above the trip up Trail Ridge Road. So next summer (or the summer after that), have this on your to-do list. You won't be disappointed.

Whether you are a true Broncos fan or not, there is nothing like seeing one of their games in person. The atmosphere is one of the most talked about in the NFL, and there is a reason why it's one of the toughest stadiums for a road team to play in. The tickets may cost a lot, but save up your money and go. It is well worth it!

Great Sand Dunes National Park is an amazing marvel, and the story of how the sand gets deposited at this one location in Colorado is still quite mystifying. But this is one of the very few places in the state that you can sled at year round. So grab a sled, or even a snowboard, and give it a try. Not only is it exhilarating, but the sights you'll see are as equally breathtaking.

The first time I ever step foot in a natural hot spring, it was like I had just entered into a whole different level of serenity. There are plenty of hot springs throughout the state that you can check out, with different levels of warmth to each one. Give it a try at any time of the year!

Buffalo are one of the most majestic creatures in all of America, and you still have a chance to get up close and personal with them at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. While there are other animals you can come across in your drive, the buffalo will leave you in awe with how they maneuver around the land.
