The internationally acclaimed Watoto African Children's Choir will perform at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Fort Collins (2000 Stover St.) at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 26.

The show is part of the group's "We Will Go" Tour, which tells the story of abandoned African children and women who have risen above their circumstances in order to make a difference in Africa and the world.

The performance will be a colorful demonstration of the current situation in Uganda through song.

The choir itself is a non-profit that helps Africa's most vulnerable children.

Since its founding in 1984, the organization has placed thousands of orphans in homes, empowered vulnerable women, and saved babies and former child soldiers — all while sending choirs across six continents.

The goal of the choir is build the vulnerable up into leaders, so that they will be able to help rebuild their nation one day.

Their Fort Collins performance is free and open to the public. However, donations will be accepted to support Watoto's education, care, and relief and development programs.
