WhataFOOL: Texas Man Waits 4 Days In Sub-Zero Temperatures For CO’s New Whataburger To Open
The lengths that some people (okay, a lot of people) will go just to get their hands on a meal from a fast-food chain is truly unreal - but fascinating.
On Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m., the first and only Whataburger in Colorado officially opened its doors and immediately began serving a hungry, anxious crowd of Coloradans, hundreds of whom seemed more determined than ever to get their fill of Colorado's latest fast-food sensation.

While many showed up for the grand opening of the Colorado Springs Whataburger on Feb. 23 - located at 1310 Interquest Parkway - nobody was more dedicated to the Texas-based burger chain's grand opening than Chris Miller.
Miller, a Texas native who moved to Colorado Springs from Lubbock, TX parked himself in line at the new Colorado Whataburger... four days before the restaurant would open for the very first time.
Miller was so determined to be the first customer at the new Colorado Springs Whataburger, he managed to ride out sub-zero temperatures in the midst of his four-day wait - now that's dedication.
What's more? The San Antonio Express-News says that Miller even helped shovel snow outside of the restaurant during his four-day wait and was eventually on a first-name basis with the employees.
I guess it's safe to say that in the end, it was all worth it for Miller; he reportedly managed to fight off beyond freezing temps as he sat in his pickup truck by using his Whataburger scarf and space heater for warmth, all for a year's worth of free Whataburger, which was the grand prize for the first person in line.
As far as the actual Whataburger food experience is concerned, Miller and his family very much enjoyed their meals.
“Everything is wonderful,” Miller said, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
“Just like Texas. Just like home.”
