Water World won't be splashing in 2020.

The 70-acre Hyland Hills water park has made the decision that due to the uncertainty regarding the pandemic, they'll stay closed for the season. Water World was set to operate for its 41st season this summer.

I once got a horrible sunburn on the top of my feet at Water World. But I bet a lot of people would jump at the chance for sunburn as opposed to not going to the park at all, especially right now.

9News has the story on how although Water World looked at all the factors that they might have been able to control to keep their visitors safe, it eventually came down to to knowing if/when large groups of people will be able to gather again. With that timeline murky at best, they've decided to forgo the 2020 season.

When was the last time you went to Water World?
